Privacy Policy

Boom Pets is a game made by Biser Marinov ("we"). This policy says what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and we collect as little as we can.

What the game keeps on your phone

Your progress (level, coins, gems, pets, clothes, settings, quests) is saved on your phone. A full copy of it is kept online only if you sign in (below).

Your game profile

When the game is online it gets an anonymous account from Google Firebase Authentication (an account ID, no name, no email) and sends us a short game profile: your player name, Player ID, level, coins and gems, which pets you have, how many clothes, arenas and weapons you have, your adventure stars, your match numbers (played, won, lost, knock-outs), your Daily Challenge wins, whether you bought No Ads, the Starter Pack or the Season Pass, whether you signed in with Apple or Google, the days you played, the game version and iPhone or Android, and when the game was last online. We use it to help you when you write to us (we find you by your Player ID), to send gifts and messages, to keep player names friendly, and to count how many players come back to the game. It is never used for ads and never shared.

Gifts, messages and names

When the game starts it checks for gifts and messages from us (for everyone, or for you), a notice when a new version is out, and an invitation to vote in our poll. If your player name breaks our rules we may give you a new one, and if you break the Terms we may turn off online play for you; the game tells you when that happens.

Online matches

To find you another player and play the match, the game sends your player name, Player ID, account ID, level and team (pets, clothes, and your weapons and shots), and during the match your moves (walks, jumps, weapons and shots). The other player sees your name, level, pets and clothes. This match data is deleted when the match is over (within a day if a phone was closed during the match). If nobody is found, the computer plays the other side and nothing about the match is sent.

Reports and blocking

In online matches you can report another player and block them. A report sends us your name and Player ID, theirs, the match, the reason and any text you write, so we can look into it. Blocks stay on your phone; while you look for a match, the account IDs of the last 30 players you blocked go with it, so that you are never matched with them.

Anonymous game statistics

After a match against the computer the game adds to anonymous counts: which level or mode it was, whether it was won, lost or given up, which pets played and which weapons were fired. The counts carry no account ID, Player ID or name. We use them to find levels that are too hard.

Polls on our website

If you vote in a poll on boompets.app, the website gets an anonymous account (no name, no email) so that each visitor votes once. We keep the vote with that account ID.

Signing in (optional)

You can play without an account. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we use Google Firebase Authentication to create an account for you. We receive an account ID and, if Apple or Google share them, your name and email address (with Apple you can hide your email). We use them only to keep your progress safe and bring it back on another phone. We never post anything or contact your friends.

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store. It handles the payment; we never see your card or bank details. We receive a receipt for each purchase so the game can give you what you bought and restore it later.

Ads

Boom Pets shows ads from Google AdMob, unless you buy No Ads. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and information about your device and how you interact with the ads. On iPhone the game asks for your permission before your advertising ID is used for tracking. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads. You can change your choice any time with Privacy choices on the Player page. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Sharing

If you tap Invite friends or Share, your phone's share sheet opens with a message (and a picture of your win). You choose where it goes; we do not see it.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not use third-party analytics, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How long we keep it

Your account and online save stay until you delete them. Your game profile is deleted about 400 days after the game was last online, reports about 400 days after they were sent, and poll votes when we delete the poll. Information collected by AdMob is kept by Google under its own policies.

Your choices

You can play as a guest, sign out any time, and delete your account in the game: Player page → Delete account. This deletes your sign-in, your online save, your game profile and your reports for good. As a guest you can do the same with Player page → Delete my online data; the game then stops sending a profile until you sign in. You can also email us at support@boompets.app and we will delete your information within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete your information; write to us and we will help.
